QuoData presents tumor marker research center at 2nd Munich Biomarker Conference
The 2nd Munich Biomarker Confernce will take place from 22.-23. November in Munich.
QuoData will presents its Joint Research and Service Center for Tumor Marker Evaluation in Oncology - a cooperation with University Hospital Bonn.
InterVAL® update 2012
As of now the new version 3.3 of InterVAL, InterVAL Plus and InterVAL Plus/OptiVAL - our software packages for in-house validation and optimization - is available for download for all users.
QuoData with contribution at Langenauer Wasserforum
From 12 - 13 November the Langenauer Wasserforum takes place in Langenau, Germany. QuoData will be on location with its own contribution in terms of a poster.
QuoData at events in November/December
In November/December 2012 QuoData among others will be present with own contributions at the Langenauer Wasserforum, the Munich Biomarker Conference and the Dresdner Medizintechnik-Symposium.
GSR 2012 PT completed
A total of 60 forensic laboratories participated in this year’s international proficiency test for the identification of gunshot residue (GSR) particles with SEM/EDX, of which 44 from EU countries and 7 from the USA.

Workshop on interlaboratory studies at US FDA
The FDA workshop at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago took place on 21-22 August 2012. The event was co-organized by QuoData, and the main speaker was QuoData’s managing director and chief scientist: Steffen Uhlig.
InterVAL is now a registered trademark
Our software for in-house validation, InterVAL, is now registered as a trademark and contains from now the ® in the name.

New apprentices
We would like to welcome our 5 new apprentices.
In the next years they will be trained in the field of informatics, in our laboratory or in the marketing and distribution section.
SPREVALMED project presented ICY 2012
The QuoData headed SPREVALMED project which aims at development and validation of novel SPR based methods for clinical diagnostics, is presented at ICY 2012, the International Congress on Yeasts, in Madison (Wisconsin, US).
PROLab workshop 2012
Our annual PROLab workshop is taking place in September. Users and anyone else who is interested will have the opportunity to get to know our software for the evaluation of interlaboratory studies.
The relevant background statistics, current developments in standards as well as case studies will also be discussed during the workshop.

U.S. FDA and QuoData intensify cooperation in interlaboratory testing
The U.S. FDA's National Center for Food Safety and Technology relies on QuoData's know-how in the field of interlaboratory testing.
In addition to the FDA’s acquiring yet further licenses for PROLab, our software for the evaluation of interlaboratory studies, the FDA and QuoData are working together to organize workshop on evaluation of interlaboratory tests, taking place on 21 - 22 August at the Illinois Institute of Technology in Chicago.
For evaluation of interlaboratory tests FDA uses our software PROLab Plus of which further licenses have been ordered recently.

We started the QuoData YouTube channel offering several videos about GUMsim, the software for determination of measurement uncertainty.

On 23.-27. June, the CYTO 2012 will take place in Leipzig. The QuoData is going to be in place with it's own stand and looks forward to your visit.
Steffen Uhlig appointed to SWGGSR
QuoData's CEO, Steffen Uhlig, has been appointed to the Scientific Working Group for Gunshot Residue (SWGGSR).
The working group is sponsored by the US National Institute of Justice and makes recommendations for internationally accepted guidelines for the forensic examination of gunshot residues.
Steffen Uhlig will support the committee as expert on statistics.
Article in Accreditation and Quality Assurance
Steffen Uhlig published in collaboration with L. Niewöhner and P. Gowik an article in the journal “Accreditation and Quality Assurance”.
Under the title “Can the usual validation standard series for quantitative methods, ISO 5725, be also applied for qualitative methods?” an alternative approach to determine precision for qualitative test methods is presented.
