Interlaboratory studies: QuoData's unique expertise
Developing our own biochemical methods
QuoData is developing biochemical measurement systems for the detection of pharmaceutical and hormonal substances such as estrogens and antibiotics. In this connection, in cooperation with international partners QuoData has helped develop several analytical measurement systems such as A-YES, ESTR‑A‑LISER and pharm‑a‑liser. They enable low limits of detection and can be applied cost-effectively for routine measurements. Our experience in the development of such analytical methods gives us a depth of perspective in the design and performance of interlaboratory studies.
Wide-ranging expertise
Many proficiency-test providers offer a selection of standard, routine proficiency tests in one particular area such as the food sector, veterinary studies, petrochemistry, etc… QuoData’s area of expertise is quality management as such. This means that, with respect to interlaboratory studies, QuoData has the resources to design and carry out efficient and tailor-made interlaboratory studies no matter what the particular field might be, and to intervene at any level of the test, from design and sample dispatch to data exchange and statistical analysis. Furthermore, QuoData’s competence is not restricted to one particular type of interlaboratory study. No matter whether the objective is evaluation of laboratory performance, company-wide quality assurance or method validation, QuoData offers the same level of specialist and innovative services.
Sophistication of mathematical and statistical methods
Whereas typical interlaboratory study providers apply mathematical methods which they have played no role in developing, a considerable part of QuoData’s staff consists of professional mathematicians dedicated to developing and refining statistical methods for interlaboratory study applications.
Powerful and sophisticated software
Another considerable part of QuoData’s staff consists of professional software developers who, collaborating with QuoData’s maths team, have developed specialist software packages such as PROLab, a software product specially designed for the performance and evaluation of interlaboratory studies.
