BioVal
In general
![]() |
BioVal enables the analysis of ELISA-Data from biochemical measurement processes by using efficient statistical methods. The software has been developed in close cooperation with practitioners and therefore assures users maximum benefit.
BioVal is commended by the Community Reference Laboratory (CRL) in Berlin.
Statistical evaluation methods
Because of a new developed algorithm, BioVal allows to ascertain the non-linear calibration curve (4 parameter curve). Further, it permits the optimal adaptation of doubtful measurements, identifies error sources such as column and row effects and corrects them.
To analyse the measurement uncertainty and to ascertain the detection limits, a new developed method based on Bootstrap-Algorithm has been applied, which enables more realistic calculations than all the conventional methods (for example 3s-Method).
Database
A professional data base permits a flexible and quick entry as well as management of the data, e.g. of the sample descriptions, the sample codes, the reference values, the operator, etc. , in connection with a comfortable entry module. The manual entry of data into the database can be dispensed, if the data in form of an Excel table are imported via a powerful import module. This import module offers an efficient and comfortable transfer of data from Excel even for a very complex data structure.
Reports and charts
By the push of a button the desired analysis results in form of charts and tables are saved in a Word file. Further there is also the possibility of exporting data and analysis results in the following formats: RTF (Word), HTML, Text, CSV (Excel), WMF (Windows Meta File), BMP (Bitmap) among others.
