InterVal
Software for in-house validation
|
InterVal enables you to carry out a comprehensive validation of your in-house methods and is recommended by the European Community Reference Laboratory (CRL) in Berlin.
InterVal provides the necessary instruments and procedures for the design of experiments and the statistical analysis of results, as well as a database and special functions for the generation of reports and charts.
You can find further information about InterVal in our software flyer.
Experimental design
InterVal creates optimized orthogonal and randomized experimental designs for the evaluation of matrix effects, of sampling conditions and of analysis conditions. It is possible to investigate up to eight influencing factors (noise factors). These experimental designs allow for a combined robustness investigation and make it possible to determine the in-house reproducibility standard deviation across matrices. Study specification and the generation of corresponding protocols are easily performed thanks to a comfortable planning module.
Statistical evaluation methods
The statistical evaluation procedures implemented in InterVal follow the guidelines of Commission Decision 2002/657/EC.
For the statistical analysis of results, the following methods are made available:
- Cochran test
- Grubbs test
- Test for factorial dispersion effects
- Recovery rate (as a function of the concentration)
- Repeatability standard deviation
- In-house reproducibility standard deviation
- Critical concentrations CCα and CCβ
- Power function for screening and confirmatory methods
All parameters can be determined under different conditions, the effects of influence factors can be quantified and the corresponding uncertainty components can be computed. Furthermore, InterVal makes it possible to determine the overall measurement uncertainty on the basis of the data of an in-house validation experiment (top-down approach).
Database
A professional database in combination with a comfortable entry module permits a flexible and quick entry as well as management of the data, e.g. of the sample descriptions, the sample codes, the reference values, the operator, etc.
Reports and charts
All evaluation results are saved in the database. The validation report as well as further specific reports and charts are saved automatically in Word files.
