The first #MLDD Expeditions successfully took place at QuoDataOn Friday, October 25th 2019 the first #MLDD Expeditions event successfully took place at QuoData’s Dresden premises. The main purpose of this meeting was to bring together experts who work in tech, e.g. data scientists, software engineers and developers to stimulate the discussion of trends in machine learning. Meeting like this is a great opportunity for sharing knowledge and best practices around data engineering.

QuoData to visit the EQALM symposium – a meetup of European EQA organizers in laboratory medicineFrom 17th to 18th October, QuoData will visit Ljubljana, Slovenia to attend the EQALM symposium – a meetup of European external quality assurance organizers in laboratory medicine.
During the symposium QuoData scientist Kapil Nichani will introduce how artificial intelligence can be utilized in PT for prognosis of future laboratory performance. A novel easy-to-interpret score developed for qualitative PT/EQA data will also be presented.

International PROLab Workshop 2019 in BerlinThe 2019 international PROLab workshop was successfully hosted by QuoData on 25-27 September at its Berlin premises. International participants from Turkey, Serbia, Germany and Indonesia attended this fruitful 3-day in-depth workshop.
The workshop covered various topics on interlaboratory studies - method validation as well as proficiency tests in compliance with the relevant standards such as ISO 13528:2015, ISO 5725 and ISO/IEC 17043.

Evaluating dependability of black box AI methodsArtificial intelligence methods are now seeping into healthcare, medicine, agriculture and food sectors. Keeping the buzz aside, such methods are increasingly efficient at addressing a task at hand. The area of food safety is not unknown to these technological developments in big data and contemporary machine learning methods. For example, use of AI as part of analytical measurement procedures, internet of things (IoT) enabled analytical devices, use of predictive analytics algorithms for crunching large data sets, to list a few.

A joint workshop on validation of microbiological methods with FDA and IFSHTogether with U.S. Food and Drug Administration and the Institute for Food Safety and Health, QuoData held the second training course on validation of qualitative microbiological methods from 18 to 20 September at the University of Maryland as part of the joint workshop series.
