Fourteen participants deepened their understanding of interlaboratory studies during the workshop from 13 - 15 June 2018 held in Dresden.
This international Round Robin Test provided participants with information on their performance in emission tests according to the GEV Testing Method. This is used to determine volatile organic compounds for the characterisation of emission-controlled substances (e.g. adhesives, building products, mineral soils). In addition, the study allows a statement on the variability of the test results when using the GEV Testing Method in different testing laboratories.
In addition to the development of software and concepts for analytical quality assurance, QuoData also provides individual in-house workshops and training. Topics, training materials and examples are always adapted to the field of application of the participants.
From 23 to 24 May 2018, QuoData held a two-day in-house training course on the validation of analytical methods and DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025:2018 based on practical examples on behalf of one of the world's leading providers of solutions for the healthcare market.
The Eurachem Week 2018 took place from 14 - 18 May 2018. As a developer of mathematical-statistical concepts for quality assurance QuoData contributed to the event. Its data scientists and Carsten Uhlig of Akees GmbH presented a new approach to detect food fraud more quickly at the "Workshop on Data - Quality, Analysis and Integrity”, which was developed in cooperation with the Federal Office for Consumer Protection and Food Safety (BVL).
Often food is still edible after the best before date, but is still sorted out by the consumer.
On the other hand storage conditions that are not optimal can shorten the shelf life.
A joint research project funded by the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) is to find a remedy.
QuoData will be in Dublin, Ireland from May 14th to 15th for the Eurachem 2018 Scientific Workshop on quality, analysis & integrity of data. QuoData makes a contribution with a presentation on the application of machine learning algorithms for multiparameter methods to determine food fraud issues.
Besides its annual workshops, QuoData also offers individual training. These seminars can be conducted on the customer’s premises. Thus QuoData scientists can contribute tailored statistical expertise in the field of analytical quality assurance.
Results of an international interlaboratory method validation study carried out by QuoData have been published.
The Data Scientists of QuoData continually develop new approaches for the interpretation of proficiency testing data or novel PT programs. The focus of QuoData is to provide PT participants more detailed insights for ongoing improvement of their performance. The experts of QuoData are constant on the way to present new ideas and to exchange with the international PT community.
QuoData can look back at more than 20 years of experience in the planning and evaluation of proficiency tests (PT). As part of a project of the European Commission, a Data Scientist of the QuoData shared his experience and basics in the evaluation of proficiency tests with selected food safety scientists from 22nd – 26th May 2017 in Mumbai, India.
QuoData's 2017 international workshop on proficiency testing and interlaboratory method validation studies, which took place in Berlin for the first time, was well-received. Participants from Hong Kong, Hungary, Norway, Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, The Netherlands and Germany attended the three-day in-depth training. QuoData experts, Christian Bläul (head of IT) and Bertrand Colson (Data Scientist), provided insights into interlaboratory lab assessment and method validation using QuoData software, PROLab.
The international proficiency test for forensic laboratories on identification of gunshot residue (GSR) by means of Scanning Electron Microscopy coupled with Energy Dispersive X-ray Spectroscopy (SEM/EDS) will begin shortly.
In 2017, QuoData will participate in a series of scientific conferences focusing on analytical quality assurance and will also offer workshops on external and internal quality control.
All 2016/2017 dates for QuoData’s roster of workshops have been finalized. What's new this year is the addition of a brand new workshop. It will focus on method validation from an expert’s point-of-view.
From 22-24 February in Berlin, QuoData will offer an international Workshop on the planning and evaluation of proficiency tests and method validation studies.
The new location in Berlin makes it easier for PT providers and the growing PROLab community worldwide to attend the workshop. All participants can still expect the well-known QuoData workshop atmosphere.
The registration phase for the international ENFSI proficiency test on the identification of gunshot residues (GSR) using scanning electron microscopy coupled with energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy has closed. This year has seen nearly 60 laboratories from 29 different countries take part. In the coming weeks, the samples will be prepared and shipped.
An important aspect of QuoData’s work involves providing professional training for those involved in proficiency testing, quality and statistics. As part of this, QuoData will hold its workshop for the Evaluation of Interlaboratory Studies from 23 -25 September, 2015. Workshops are just one aspect of QuoData’s regular provision of training sessions, webinars and in-house events.
On 18 May 2015, QuoData held a free webinar on how to improve PT data import using Excel, PROLab and RingDat and the online application, RingDat Online. Participants from around the globe tuned into the 1-hour webinar held online. The webinar is now available for viewing at any time:
QuoData is once again in charge of the organization and evaluation of the annual international proficiency test "Identification of GSR by SEM/EDX" on behalf of the European Network of Forensic Science Institutes (ENFSI).Registration to participate is open to all forensic laboratories until 31 March 2015.
It is with great concern that we have observed the events unfolding in Dresden over the past few weeks: Several thousand people have taken part in demonstrations organized by the Pegida movement.
