Cequator is now PROLab Cequator
![]()
Cequator is joining the PROLab family and will go forward under the name PROLab Cequator.
It's a name change. The software is the same, the team is the same, and nothing about your programs or your data changes.
Why
Our proficiency testing products have grown up under separate names. PROLab Cequator makes it clear they belong together, and it's a step toward developing them as one integrated set of tools for organizing and evaluating PT programs.
What changes
- The name shown in the software, in the documentation, and on our website
- That's it
What stays the same
- Your login and your URL. Same credentials, same address, no migration.
- Your running programs. Ongoing PT programs, protocols, evaluations and reports are unaffected.
- The software itself. Visually and functionally identical to the Cequator you're using today.
- Your contract, pricing and contacts. Unchanged.
Do you need to do anything?
No. There is no update to install, no setting to change, and no re-registration.
Do you need to tell your participating labs?
No. Your participants will see a short notice in the software at their next login explaining the new name and confirming that nothing about their work changes.
If you'd rather tell them yourself first, feel free to reuse this:
Cequator is now called PROLab Cequator. This is a name change only — the software, your login, and your ongoing programs are unchanged. No action is needed.
FAQs
Are reports and certificates issued under the old name still valid? Yes. Nothing needs to be reissued.
Will evaluations produce different results? No. There is no change to the algorithms or the calculations.
Do our documents or SOPs need updating? Only where you want them to. Most organizations handle the name change as a documentation update at their next scheduled review. If your QA department needs written confirmation from us that the software and its results are unchanged, contact us and we'll provide it.
