A manuscript on statistical methods of congener profile analysis of samples contaminated with dioxin and dioxin-like compounds has been accepted for publication in Journal of Chromatography A.

In this article we demonstrate that common methods cannot be employed to reach court-proof decisions, i.e. decisions which meet court evidentiary standards.

An alternative approach to analyzing congener profiles based on mathematical statistics is briefly presented, allowing reliable, court-proof decisions. Some elements of this approach are available for free as a web service.
